The artist utilizes an eye for simple lines, complex design and a combination of modern and traditional materials to express principals of balance, tension, speed and light. An exotice sculpture, clean and elegant, precision engineered and executed. Materials used in Slingshot are high tensile steels, mild steel, aluminum, marble, concrete and leather. The aluminum is anodized, the steel is brass plated. The principal axes of the sculpture are set at right angles to each other and at 20 degrees to the vertical. The marble face is also set at 20 degrees to the horizontal. |
